my quest 2 boots normally (logo etc) but when im supposed to be at "home" it just appears as bright black screen
i cant factory reset, restarting wont help, it always lead to this same screen.

This seems to be a persisting issue they have yet to fix. There is no known fix for this issue at the current time, as it seems the issue lies in their software. Myself and other users have faced this same issue, and they have yet to push a fix. If you are certain you have no hardware damage like a failing proximity sensor, then all we can do is wait unfortunately.
