Blade and sorcery quest 2 will not start

Hi there any help appreciated, we bought blade and sorcery for my son and up until today he has been able to play it fine, now when he tries to load it up it tells him that developer options must be allowed. We have tried uninstalling and downloading again to no avail, has anyone else had this problem and is there something that can be done. Thanks in advance.

Hey there @HairyBaboonKing, we noticed that you are having some issues with Blade and Sorcery not allowing your child to access it. Being able to play games without any hiccups is the VR experience we want for our users. We understand this developer message is affecting the fun, but no worries, we'll do all that we can to look into this for you both!

So we can understand the nature of this issue a bit more, can you please answer the following:

  • Are you able to access the game at all, or does it stop you at the moment you open the app?
  • Is this happening with any other games?
  • Was something in the game's setting recently changed?
  • Is your child's account a Parent-Managed Meta account?
  • Are you able to access the game on another account?

Please let us know, we hope to hear from you soon!

Hi there

Yes my son can access the game but can go no further than the main screen. When he chooses to begin the game it states that developer options must be allowed. I have tried to enable them for him but these options are greyed out and can not be accessed.

The problem does not occur with other games and he has been able to use all other games so far

My son's account is a parent managed meta account.

I can access the game from my own account without any problems.

Hey there, @HairyBaboonKing! It's great to hear from you again. We appreciate you letting us know more about the issue you've been experiencing. We wanted to let you know that we've seen other users reporting a similar issue with other games as well. Some of them have found a workaround where they go to the app's settings and toggle on all permissions for the app, and they have been able to use it like normal. Please let us know if you're able to do this and if it allows you to get past the main screen.

Same issue. Toggling the app permissions doesn’t work. Still receive the message the developer mode must be enabled which isn’t possible for children under 13.

Still need help?
