The V67 update introduces a brand new window layout feature, with a fullscreen function that is perfect for immersive 2D gaming. However, when I switch a window to fullscreen, it no longer responds to my Xbox controller inputs.
The controller works fine when not in fullscreen mode, but it stops functioning as soon as I switch to fullscreen.
I suspect that the issue may be due to the system not handling the window focus correctly.

I can confirm when using fullscreen in new window layout the controller input is not being registered at all so the controller is not working in fullscreen at all. Switching back from fullscreen and the controller input is just fine.
Regarding what Meta Support said: There is nothing to troubleshoot, this is obviously a bug and needs to be fixed by firmware update.
Hope this will be soon as I love the new layout.

Update: I found a temporary glitch method that allows me to use the controller in full-screen mode.
Steps to follow:
Set the desired window to full-screen, then pinch on it.
Your controller should now be able to operate the full-screen window as expected.
This is merely a temporary glitch and does not indicate that the problem doesn't exist.
@MetaQuestSupport Please report this issue to your engineers and expedite the process of providing a permanent fix, rather than continually asking us to perform ineffective troubleshooting steps

Thank you very much for the information @domexie! We appreciate all of the information you have provided so far and we appreciate the work around you were able to use in order to get it working properly. Pinching into the primary screen seems to make sense as this would essentially "set the focus" to being on that screen. So we can understand this situation a bit better, we had a few questions we wanted to ask to ensure we were all on the same track and understanding this situation properly.
So that bugs are reported appropriately and directly to the teams that gather that information, please absolutely utilize the in-headset reporting feature following the steps here.

Hey there, @mr-abdogreen! Thank you for providing your experience with us. This should absolutely work in both normal and full screen mode. If that's not the case, we'd recommend reporting the problem. This will send the report directly to our developers to look into. If you have any additional questions or challenges, please let us know.
