Bluetooth input permission

Hello! Developer mode is activated on the Quest 3. I've tried the Oculus Remote Desktop software and separately, Rust Desk from another source. Neither application transfers mouse clicks (paired with Bluetooth mouse, keyboard, headset) towards the endpoint window. This is due to incorrect permission settings and the input is not accessible to the window. Neither keyboard strokes nor mouse clicks are sent to the target machine, although cursor movement is detected. Initially, I am interested in an unofficial solution to give my input devices permission to work. Because the things demonstrated in the advertisement completely lose their meaning this way. I can't work with the headset anywhere in the world, even though I bought it for this purpose. The VR world was not at all considered, specifically for mixed reality and usability, which is why I bought it, and I sadly realize that basic things available in Android are not accessible.

    Normal Input handling
    TTS
    Android Window settings
    Android Performance settings
And many more, I'm just mentioning a few...

But currently, it is urgent that my input devices work NORMALLY, considering I've spent a lot of money on this...

Hey @donmortis! We would love to help you with using your keyboard and mouse with remote desktop software. We would like to ask that you first disable developer mode and then restart the headset and then try the mouse and keyboard again. In order to get more clarity on this, we would like to ask if you're trying to connect the mouse and keyboard via Bluetooth to the headset or to your PC?

If you've added a supported keyboard via Bluetooth to your headset previously, when you turn on your headset you'll see a prompt asking if you want to see your keyboard in VR. If you don't see your keyboard pop up automatically once connected via Bluetooth, follow the steps here. You can also find other useful information in that article in regards to supported remote keyboard models and setting up your remote tracked keyboard.

We hope this helps and if you still need further assistance, feel free to reach back out.

Yes, it's a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse that I pair as Bluetooth devices. I don't really understand why I should turn off developer mode when the Quest's factory windows don't transfer clicks. In the meantime, I tried the browser-based Google remote desktop app, which does transfer clicks. So the window management is faulty (when using an Android application like Rust Desk), not to mention that most of the apps available from other developers (Meta Store) don't support keyboard and mouse usage. In the meantime, I also realized that the software offered by Quest is actually called Desktop Viewer and does not support remote functionality to control our computer remotely (which makes no sense, as I don't want to use VR sitting in front of my computer in such cases). Apart from all this, device support is not essential since I connect standard Bluetooth devices. Only the keyboard layout is inappropriate, and I don't understand why there isn't proper support for it. By the way, I use a Rapoo 8120M keyboard and mouse combo. Essentially, my problem is solved. Browser remote desktop works... Have a nice day!

Hey again, @donmortis! We are so excited to hear your issue is resolved, and we are here if you ever need us in the future!! You have a nice day as well!!
