Bricked Quest 2 software update and serial number

Hello!  I have a Quest 2 that my cousin gave me because it wasn't working. After messing with it and trying everything I could find on the Internet, it is still bricked. Iv tried:

Rebooting

Factory reset

The Meta Update Tool

Side loading with current firmware

Hard reboot hold for 5 mins

Leave it charging for 3 days, leave it off for three days then trying to turn on after a full charge

Fully charged batter factory reset, tool and side load

Chicken sacrifice, and everything else under the sun. 

The behavior is consistent:

SD card icon with an arrow And three dots on the left, bottom and right sides, then the meta logo pulsing, then black for a while, then meta logo pulsing and it keeps cycling through that. I know that the December update could brick them, and that the update tool should be able to fix it, but it doesn't for this one. 

Went to follow the service portal to request a swap, but when it asked for the serial number, which I wrote down from the side of the headset strap as well as used the QR code to confirm (double triple checked and had someone quality check me Incase) and it is saying that:

"Invalid serial number. Check that you provided the correct serial number for your Meta Quest 2 headset."

I am at a loss of what to do, hoping I can get some guidance here, thank you in advance for any assistance!
