I was having an issue with a jitter in both of my controllers to the point of being unplayable, and I saw in a few forums to use an electric contact cleaner. I tried it, luckily only on the right one, and it seems like it ate away at the plastic. The area where it hit is soft and a more rubbery texture, and it can be peeled away with my fingernail. The joystick still moves around freely, but the buttons are almost completely stuck in place.
My headset is out of warranty, so there's no hope of having it replaced that way. Is there any way to fix this or will I have to buy a new controller?

Wow, that controller looks like it's been through a lot @shawnster05 . Honestly, I believe it's time to invest in a new one. It's no fun trying to game with buttons that won't even budge.
