Bug or Hardware failure - Quest 2 constantly losing tracking

Hi,

I got on my quest a few minutes ago and when I did, my headset just constantly said "Tracking Lost". The menu popup would flash, and then the tracking lost menu popped back up. It's just doing this infinitely, and I'm not sure if it is a bug or hardware failing meaning that I need a new headset. I've rebooted it and it is still doing it. Also, passthrough is just black. Not frozen, just black. Please help. All I want to do is play Surgineer. Please Oculus, please help.

Yes, they are. (didnt know how to reply because i never need the fourms)

Try these 3 things:

  • Turning off tracking then back on
  • Update your headset
  • Restart your headset

I can't do any of those because the menu keeps flashing off and on, so I can't update. Restarting doesn't do anything. Hand tracking doesn't work in the limbo my headset is in, and my controllers also aren't tracking. If it is a hardware failure, then that's fine as I lent someone my headset a few days ago and they were the last ones to use it before it broke, so I can get them to pay for a new one.
