Can I convert existing account to child account?

I purchased the Quest 2 for my 10 year old and created his as a regular account. I’m not sure if the child supervision option was available at the time, but I noticed it’s now an option. I would like to be able to supervise his account so I tried to use the child setup option under his account, but it walked me through steps to create another account. He has a lot of games and I would like him to be able to keep them. Can an adult account be converted into a child account?

Hi there, @NotMoose79! Making sure you're able to enjoy your VR experience to the fullest is definitely a priority for us, and we certainly understand the need for a Parent-Managed account after creation! Currently, we do have the option to convert an existing account, which can be done by changing the date of birth to between 10-12 years old. Keep in mind, if a Meta account has previously used developer services (such as Meta Spark and Horizon Worlds creation) or Ray-Ban Stories, it cannot be managed by a parent or guardian. In this case, you would need to create a new Meta account for the child. In case you need it, you can check the steps to convert an existing Meta account into a child’s Meta account here! I tried following those steps to convert an existing Meta account but they do not work.  It says the email address is already connected to an account.  That's the account I want to convert....  HELP!  There's got to be an easier way to do this.

I have the same issue as the guys above.  I had a pre family center account I setup and used for my child.  I wanted to convert them to the correct age, so I could monitor them correctly, now his account is banned and I have been in circles with your "contact support" page that only references itself round and round.  We were an early adopter, and I was forced into creating an account on a christmas morning or ruining christmas.  I followed your directions and now that account is banned with no way to fix it.  Please help!

Still has not been resolved on our end, after 20 emails back and forth... This should be a simple and basic fix, Meta...

I have same problem as above.  What's the phone number to just call somebody to get it changed to a child account and associated with my account?  Simple change.  This was a Christmas present, we made a bunch of purchases and now I have a kids running around crying.  Thanks for ruining Christmas.  Simple option 2: How do I get my purchases transferred to the new account?  How do I get player progress moved to the new account?  U made these changes now give me the tools to take the appropriate actions or pick up the phone and engage in some actual customer support instead of these useless AI generated responses I see above.  Again, thanks for ruining Christmas.
