Can’t Factory Reset

My dad bought a Quest 2 from a retail store a while back ago and the original owner didn’t Factory Reset his quest which wasn’t a problem until it needed to connect to a FB account while at the same time the his Volume Control buttons stopped working

It's important that the process of performing a Factory Reset be relatively simple for our users. We see why you have a concern here and we're happy to help out! We would like to provide you with the step-by-step instructions in order to perform a Factory Reset: 

 

  1. Turn off your headset.
  2. Hold the power and volume (-) buttons on your headset down simultaneously until the boot screen loads on your headset.
  3. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Factory Reset and press the power button.
  4. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Yes and press the power button.

We also see that you mentioned that the volume control buttons stopped working.
