Received the Meta Ques 3
Downloaded the App
Both the Phone & MQ3 are on the same router channel 5Ghz.
Bluetooth on phone is On
Bluetooth on phone sees MQ3.
Bluetooth on Phone will NOT "pair" with MQ3.
MQ3 stuck at screen with a code showing to enter into app to sync with app.
In the app settings, Device Management/Devices it shows the device is "not found" beside Meta Quest 3.
If I click "connect new device" under where it shows the MQ3 "not found" I go to the next page in the app, but clicking "continue" does NOTHING.
This MQ3 is about one afternoon from being returned to Amazon, and me finding something else. So far, this experience is HORRIBLE. The fact we're forced to use some app, that is (from all searches i've done on google) absolutely crap, is part of the problem. I'm not even running this on wifi, it is directly connected through the cord to pc for PC VR. Seriously, this whole experience is just Bad at this point AND makes little sense. Seems like crappy developing to me so far. I spent 650.$$ on a paper-weight at this point. I just received it today. The app refuses to pair, the bluetooth refuses to pair, & my phone has no issues pairing to anything else I use that is bluetooth. Anyone here experienced this and have a work-around, & a solution?
Adding: I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times, with no change to the scenario.
Adding: I've tried setting this MQ3 up with the app on both my Android Phone, and then a bit ago on the Tablet. No change to situation. Neither can "pair" with the MQ3, it either sits there saying "pairing" for a time then does nothing and the "pairing" word goes away, OR it gives a "?" beside it after trying and can't pair.
Adding: Headset updated completely. Phone app just installed today, and it is the latest version.
Adding: I've tried unplugging the MQ3 from direct connection to the PC with the Occulus cord ordered and received at the same time as the MQ3, hoping that maybe the MQ3 wasn't able to connect via Bluietooth to the app through phone, and/ot tablet due to it detecting a direct connection to PC through cord. Nothing changed...still can't pair, or get app to connect wiht headset.
Adding: as a Side-note: I tried "text chat support," & their "offer" was to send me a refurbished/used MQ3 to replace the BRAND NEW, less than 6 hours in my possession, 650.00$ NEW electronics device. lol. I declined. I'll just return it tomorrow, & buy a different VR set form a company that either has no requirement of a Buggy App, or uses one that actually works and pairs.
Adding: Attempted factory reset...still can't be detected by the Meta app, and won't pair via bluetooth.
If anyone has any suggestions, experience, solutions for the issue mentioned above, i'd gladly read and try it.
