Can't Purchase Games or Add New Payment methods

Hi There,

 

I tried to buy a game from the store (via the application on Windows 11 & the website), but I keep getting the following message:

"GraphQL server responded with error 1383118: We noticed something unusual and, for your security, this request couldn't be completed. Please try again later, or visit our Help Center."

 

When I try to add new credit cards or Pay Pall account as new source of payments, I get the following message:

"Something went wrong and we were unable to add this payment method. Please try again."
 
Can you please help me with this?

P.S. It is worth noting that I have purchased several games & apps via the same current payment methods a few months ago.

Hey @Acerdark! We know payment issues are very discouraging so we'd love to provide some assistance.

 

In order to gain a bit more information, could you please answer the following:

 

  1. When was this first noticed? 
    1. Did anything change around that time? 
  2. Does the issue happen across all devices? (Mobile app, Headset, etc.) 

 

Along with this, please test out the following:

 

  1. Try a different browser (Safari, Chrome, Edge, Firefox, etc.)
  2. Test some different networks (Mobile hotspot, cell data, etc.)

Hello OculusSupport i have had the same problem and i have tried changing browser devices and updating all of my info i have tried to get in touch with me but you never respond to my e-mails please help 🙂

Hey there, @King_C0ld! Don't be alarmed if you're experiencing trouble purchasing games and adding new payments. We'll be happy to have this fixed and the situation resolved for you. If you haven't already, attempt the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Check to see if the financial institution placed any restrictions
  • Try another network connection type
  • Try another network location
  • Try different combinations of the area/zip code
  • Restart the device
  • Try another device
  • Try another payment method.
  • Try another web browser
