I am trying to change the email address for my child's managed account. The problem is that he started setting up a separate meta account with the email I am trying to use. We have now deleted that bogus account, but I am still getting the error "This email is already being used" when I try to enter it on family center.
You may have to wait up to 90 days. The meta system can take anywhere from 31-90 days to purge the deleted account credentials.
From google:
It can take up to 90 days for Meta to fully delete your account data, including the email address associated with it, according to Meta. During the first 30 days after requesting deletion, you can still sign in and cancel the request, effectively restoring your account. However, after that 30-day period, the deletion process continues, and after 90 days, the data, including the email address, is permanently deleted. There is no way to speed up the process it is automated.
