My Rift-S stopped working properly after I got a new PC (three dots issue). I don't have any controllers for it as I've never needed any so so I 'borrowed' them from the Quest, deleting from the Quest and adding to the Rift. They can be seen in the Rift screen, but don't move but do respond to button presses. It didn't help with three dots although all lights in the app are green.
So, the next issue, after giving up on that, is I couldn't delete from the Rift-S and add back to the Quest - the option for controllers isn't even present. So I did a factory reset of the Quest but it gets stuck in the infamous failure to play the safety video.
So I thought maybe I could delete both the Rift-S and Quest from my account and add again and then just add back via PC.
It turns out I can't delete it from the phone app. The account via the web is inconsistent, thinking I have either one or no devices depending on where I go. I can delete them from the PC app, but that doesn't get reflected elsewhere for some reason.
It's enormously frustrating and I have currently effectively two bricked dev
ices.
