Can't find previously owned apps on new Quest 3

I have spent a long time now, Googling, testing.. but cannot find a way to access and download the games and apps I bought in the store using Quest 2 to my new Quest 3. The closest I can find is to share apps with other people - but that's not what I want. The advice I have found so far is of the type '.. just log into your account and you can easily transfer the apps'.. but I am already logged in (aren't I?). I go to Settings/Accounts from within the Quest and there is my Facebook account. So, what do I do then/instead?

Do I do need to be doing this in the headset, or via the PC Meta app, or... ?

I really need a set-by-step here, if anyone could help, 'cos I'm just getting frustrated now 🙂 . Thanks.

Hi @martinlest 🙂

seems something went wrong,

You don't have to "transfer" the games from Quest 2 to Quest 3. Your games are tied to your account, not to the device.

When i set up my Quest 3 it even asked what of my games I wanted  install on it.

I believe - but of course, I don't know it for sure - you've somehow created new account for your Quest 3......that's why you can't find your games in your library and can just install them from there or from the store. You are just not logged in with the same account.

You should send a PM @MetaQuestSupport  so they can have a look at your account.

Click on the name to visit their profile page, then click the "send a message" button.

I hope, they can help you to sort that.

Thank you very much for the reply. I probably didn't express myself quite correctly: I know the apps are part of the account, not the devices themselves, but I didn't get any prompt like you had. I've checked my account on both Quest 2 and Quest 3 and they seem to be identical. Yes, I will message Meta and see if they can help me sort it out. Thanks again.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you🤞
