I have upgraded to V34 and wanted to try out the Android phone notifications on my Quest. You're supposed to initiate the feature by going to the mobile app, under "devices" and enable the "Phone Notifications" option there. My mobile app does not have "phone notifications" under "devices"... just:
wi-fi
controllers
developer mode
[etc]
... am I looking in the right place? I believe I'm on the most recent app version - there no update option in the play store. Any ideas? Maybe the feature isnt available yet for my Galaxy S21?

This.. this fixed it for me.. clear data.. then when i relogged into the app the thing looked 100% different and the options appeared.. we shall see if they work next time i play

Clearing data alone only got me the option. I still had to do several other steps several times before notifications actually started working. Hopefully yours is a little less tedious 🙂

Finally got mine working. Had all the settings but wasn't getting notifications. I swiped off the option and back on twice ask me to pair with null,(which I've done before) and it worked this time even when screen locked.

Within the Quest 2 is looks like all is set correctly now. But when I open the app and try to enable it, it just enables and immediately disables itself. I keep trying to enable it but that same thing keeps happening. I'm at my wits end. It just doesn't seem to work for me.

Try to disable it in the headset and then enable it it the app. You might need to reinstall the app or clear data. I think you need to start in the app before you enable it in the headset.

The good news: After much hacking (uninstall app, reinstall app, being asked to "pair with null" (why null?), disabling/enabling notifications in headset, all in exactly the right sequence), I got my first notification the other day. Yay! It was a long road, and I'd like to thank all the people who helped us weary travelers along the...
...oh, wait. The bad news. Now when I put on my headset I get a "phone is connected - you will now receive notifications" message. That's fine, but I get this message over and over, about EVERY 60 SECONDS. Arggghh!!! I had to turn off notifications because that's just too distracting.

i don't HAVE the Q2 just the Q1 and i don't see Phone Notifications on my phone or the headset. so i'm not sure what to do
