Can't find "Phone Notification" option to enable Android notifications in V34 update

I have upgraded to V34 and wanted to try out the Android phone notifications on my Quest. You're supposed to initiate the feature by going to the mobile app, under "devices" and enable the "Phone Notifications" option there. My mobile app does not have "phone notifications" under "devices"... just:

wi-fi

controllers

developer mode

[etc]

... am I looking in the right place? I believe I'm on the most recent app version - there no update option in the play store. Any ideas? Maybe the feature isnt available yet for my Galaxy S21?

I have an LG V35 ThinQ. But I'll let the others open a bug report. I'm still in recovery from my last entanglement with Oculus support, lol.

Hey @mkazen, looks like our posts crossed. My Oculus App is at 135.0.0.12.115 (the latest build).

Just for clarity and troubleshooting, CeeJay726... My Quest is at home, and my phone is with me here at work. When I open the phone app and go to devices, the "Headset Settings" list is initially empty while the app is searching for my Quest, but after about 5 or 10 seconds, the list does populate with settings.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 Android 11, I have my quest 2 on v34, and my oculus app just updated to version 136.0.0.10.115 and I still don't have the option in the oculus app under headset settings when it is connected to my quest 2. Explain that one. My oculus app is even more newer and still isn't showing.

Pixel 6 Pro with Android 12 having the same issue. Uninstalled / reinstalled Oculus app on phone. I filed a bug report.

quest does not show up on my phones bluetooth nor is it discoverable

Then perhaps your issue is that it's not showing up because your Quest isn't on and connected to the app. And those of us who are connected, maybe the Android version isn't compatible/needs updating?

I'm still on ver. 8, unfortunately.

Its on and connected in the app . no "phone notification" in the app and when i check bluetooth it does not show

I"ll test that theory momentarily... just got home from work. 🙂

[edit] Actually - when I created the original post here, I was at home and the Quest was connected. But, I just tried id again with the Quest connected and at the home screen. No luck.

Looking at the responses, it doesn't look like anyone had success trying RyanS's solution. Apparently - tomorrows a big release day for V34 update and SDK - maybe this will all just magically fix itself. (crossing fingers).
