I have upgraded to V34 and wanted to try out the Android phone notifications on my Quest. You're supposed to initiate the feature by going to the mobile app, under "devices" and enable the "Phone Notifications" option there. My mobile app does not have "phone notifications" under "devices"... just:
wi-fi
controllers
developer mode
[etc]
... am I looking in the right place? I believe I'm on the most recent app version - there no update option in the play store. Any ideas? Maybe the feature isnt available yet for my Galaxy S21?

Same for me with my Samsung S8. I had the v34 update pretty early and couldn't find any reports about the missing notification setting in the app. I thought i was doing something wrong or missing one essential step. So even though there seems to be no solution (yet): it is kind of good to see that i'm not the only one with this issue.

Adding to the list. Finally received the V34 update a couple of hours ago and literally just updated the Oculus app. On a Samsung S10e with Android 11 and no phone notifications option under settings. I am connected to my quest 2.

Same here. I got v34 early and app is same as RyanS. I tried everything including RyanS solution, but I still don't have "phone notifications" in the app. Galaxy s10e here.

I have the same issue. V34 installed on the headset, I enabled notifications on the headset within Experimental Features, but no phone notifications menu on my Pixel 5. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the Oculus app, but no luck.

Same here. I've tried everything that was recommended here. I have managed to list my phone via bluetooth under experimental features on the headset, but it doesn't seem to actually connect.
Also, I had a serious stability issue with device tracking, which was fully resolved in the V33 update. Now in the V34 update it looks a little less stable and the center of my space seems to be shifted forward and a little to the side. The environment menu now appears far away, almost outside my guardian area. It started after I turned space sence on for a while to test and then turned it off. Anyone else with this problem?

Phone app version 135.0.0.12.115 , android 11. Headset updated to V34. No phone notifications for me too. It's a little annoying when there's a "solution" and the tone of a post is that we're all a bit stupid for not being able to see what they think we should see. The truth is, we're all right and something is screwed up with the release and needs fixing. Also, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the phone app, now it takes forever to connect to the headset and each time I tab to a new section like social, alerts or feed the screen is blank and I'm lucky if it shows anything at all without a force close and app restart. It was instant before.

I'm on Android 12, BTW.
I understand the "Solution" is just pinned for convenience, since it has some troubleshooting tips. Here's what annoys me about it, though:
1. There's no point for the Oculus representative to say "it works for me". No point at all. Emotional intelligence 101. It just gets people angry. Of course it works for you, you work in Oculus. If it didn't work for people who work at Oculus you would have a much bigger problem, right?
2. IIRC, there was a link for reporting a bug. Have you actually tried reporting a bug? It goes into a vast deep black hole.
Having said that, thank you Oculus for continuing to follow up on this.

Thanks for sharing!
On your first point, you're absolutely right that that message doesn't alway land the way it's intended. Sometimes it seems like just rubbing salt in a wound, and for that I apologize. I know just how frustrating it is when features don't work, I've certainly had my share of bugs and troubles. But I hope you understand that in a thread about a specific issue, it's going to be hard to find folks who don't have that same problem. If you go to a car mechanic, you're going to see a lot of broken cars, but that doesn't mean all cars are broken. My purpose really was just directed at the complaint that we didn't understand the issue and hadn't gone through the steps.
On your second point, the dev team uses those bug reports to find trending issues, and when I go to them and say "I'm hearing a bunch of reports about phone notifications not working" they'll check out the reports for that specific issue to investigate further. They don't directly connect with people who put in those reports, so it's always good to contact the support team directly for issues as well.
In any case, I'll let you all know when I've heard more from the team and if they need any more details or have suggestions for troubleshooting steps.
