Just recently I noticed if I restarted my computer I couldn't link my quest 3 to it but if I shut down my computer entirely then started it up I could. I contacted the support team and they were very quick to respond to all my emails so kudos to them. Long story short they had me terminate three processes via the task manager after restarting my computer, VRServiceLauncher.exe, then OVRRedir.exe, and finally OVRServer_x64.exe. If you do it in this order they won't immediately restore themselves after terminating the task. However, I found if I just terminated OVRServer_x64.exe it would automatically restore, and fix the linking issue as well. Now if you want to totally stop this task from running at start up you can open up "Services" then find those tasks, right click, property and set the startup type to manual. I haven't tried this yet so I can guarantee it will work, but I know just terminating OVRServer_x64.exe and then letting it automatically run right after worked for me. Hopefully whoever has encountered this issue will find this.
