I am trying to fix the "Can't reach Meta Quest Link Service" error. I'm pretty sure its an issue with Quality Windows Audio Video Experience (qWAVE), because I cannot find qWAVE in the Services list at all. I checked in system32 and it has qwave.dll and in drivers it has qwavedrv.sys. I know someone with the same kind of PC as me so I tested my Oculus Quest 2 on his PC and it worked and qWAVE shows up in Services on his. I'm not sure how to make it show up in Services on mine, any ideas?

I already tried this, it did not work. The issue probably related to Qwave.

Do you have any other suggestions?

Hey there, @BIack101! 👋
Thanks for letting us know that you've tried that and it hasn't been successful. The next step would be a manual uninstall/reinstall of the Link app. You can do this by:

That didn't work. The problem is because Qwave is not in my services, is there a known where to get it there?

As far as I can see online, there isn't a direct way to install advised by Microsoft if Qwave if it is missing from your services.
I did find this process but it involves Windows Server Manager which is an admin tool that you may not have access to:
However, I can see in another Quest forum that deleting C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-runtime\server-plugins\RemoteHeadset.dll was able to fix this issue for a number of users. It would be worth trying this to see if it helps 🙂

I have Server manager, but your description makes it sound different than mine, so I'm not sure what is with that.
As for deleting remote headset, that lets the software launch, but prevents headsets from connecting.

It may be under a different option. if you play around with Server Manager then I'm sure there should be an option to install Qwave.
If not, it may be worth reaching out to Microsoft Support to see if they can advise how to do this. It sounds like the Qwave is the hurdle that is stopping Link from working.
