Can't remove synced media from Oculus app. Already deleted from headset.

Hi.  I manually transferred a TV episode to the Movies folder of the Quest 2.  I watched it, then deleted it using the headset interface to remove it.  I guess in the meantime the episode got cloud synced to the Oculus app, and now it still shows up in the Synced Media section, with no obvious way to delete it.  How do I remove it from the Synced Media section of the Oculus App?!?

I don't even have a Facebook account and mine's just stuck on the cloud they refuse to let you delete it and they have the option to delete it themselves, but they refuse to do it. you are stuck with it forever ,they are in control of it,

will it be there after like 90/180 days?  what if I keep uploading crazily large videos (like 100GB per day)?

I see it as them collecting data on users ,which to me is spyware, especially since you do not have the option to delete it. But I have no idea exactly what they're intent is of it but it's not good.

I like your thinking, Then they might do something .I just got a warning because I was telling people on multiple threads pretty much the same thing. they don't like that🤣 so I pointed out to him thank you for bringing this to my attention I will now post this on multiple other websites and not just this forum waiting for someone to start posting on YouTube because you will constantly get a run around from them when addressing the issue this has been going on since meta quest 2. From what I've been reading.

No, Meta is very clear in that that content you upload to their servers you own, but they basically can do whatever they want with it. They also mentioned that after you delete it, it can take up to 30 days for it to be deleted from their servers. They also very clearly mentioned that contents you sync, is not taking space on your phone until you download it from the app, i.e. indirectly tells us it's only stored on their servers.

Make no mistake, Meta might not care about their customer, but they are not stupid, they have their asses saved from a legal perspective.

It will get deleted from the app more or less immediately if you choose the "Delete and Unsync" option, then kill the meta app and restart it on your mobile. If you want to keep it on the headset but remove it from the App you only click the "unsync" option for that particular file and it will be removed from the app after a restart of the App.

The problem occurs if you only click delete!

My stuff won't delete after 14 days

If anyone on this thread is from Europe, you should file a formal complaint with the EU that Meta is in violation of GDPR and their user privacy rules.. only the threat that Meta couldn't sell their VR headsets throughout Europe because they violate EU standards will make this a priority..

Absolute legend!
Instantly fixed the problem.

It's 2024 now. and this stupid bug is still there

"Again, do not delete files from you headset with sync turned off."

Also no 14 days auto delete. those files stay there forever.  how stupid
