Can’t send messages on the mobile app

My friends can send me messages but I can’t reply through the oculus app on my phone. In the message bar it just says ‘can’t send message’

can anyone help me know how to fix this?

With that being said, we have some tips we would like you to follow. First, we recommend you re-pair your Oculus Quest 2 to your phone. Then please try to perform the following:
 

• Ensure the phone's Bluetooth is turned on and the headset is turned on.
• Clear the Bluetooth cache on the phone.
• Power cycle the phone and the headset. Check the steps. here on how to reboot your headset.
• Ensure the phone and headset are connected to the same wireless network.
• Factory reset the headset after activating the cloud backup.

We hope to have this resolved for you very soon. Please keep us updated on your progress and if this does not work, please let us know and we can take it from there.

Yeah I tried deleting and reinstalling the app, but that didn’t work. I also linked Facebook and instagram. Could it be that you have to be 18 or something to use the chat? I also made this post on this website. There is a slight difference between the app and headset, on the app, I go into the chat tab and go to message them, but at the bottom it says can’t send message. On the app when I press the chat button it just doesn’t send me anywhere. I just stay on the same screen.

Hello there meta quest support. I don’t know how to fix this issue and it’s really frustrating and terrible. I am having trouble messaging my friend it’s just saying something went wrong. I even tried to delete the application and reinstalling the application and still doesn’t work. I have tried to see if there’s any updates but no. I can only message on my VR. Here and take a look.
