Can't use my quest 2

Hi everyone, I am having issues setting up quest 2.
I recently upgrade my son from quest 2 to quest 3, I then factory reset quest 2 and deleted quest 2 from his devices on his account, I created my account and downloaded metahorizon app on my phone. As i started setting up old quest 2 recently factory reseted, I got to the screen on the headset whre It ask me to pair with my phone, But it won't pair, then I read an articule here on reddit about downloading meta quest developer hub so I could bypass the screen on my headset, so I did that and it worked, I am now able to get into my loby with my account on the head set, but when I try to play any game it says the headset needs to update software or needs latest update, but when I try to do that it says theres no update available. 
When I got to the browser and log in with my account and go to devices, there no devices associated with my account....I am assuming is because I haven't paired it with my phone.
 
Anybody please HELP!!!!

Hi, following up to my issue.
 
I have tried the following.
 
-Factory reset Headset, But won't paired to my phone, stuck in pairing screen.
-I used the Meta quest developer hub to bypass pairing screen, Now I am in lobby with my account but unable to add device to my account through phone or via browser.
-If I download games nothing will work because it says I need to update software.
-I tried the Software update tool but won't detect my device(yes I am using the cable from headset).
-I tried updating in the headset by going to system/settings/software update but it says no updates available.
Please read everything I've done so I am not being sent to do things I've done already.
I am not sure if I mentioned before, I upgrade my son from quest 2 to quest 3, I factory restored quest 2 and deleted from my son account the device (quest 2).
 
So as now trying to set it up for myself with new account, I am having these issues.
