I ordered a quest 3 based on delivery estimate 3 days out, but as soon as I paid, the confirmation had the estimate at 8 days out. So I cancelled, literally 5 minutes later. The cancel button said "can't cancel, contact support" and support said can't cancel, it's already shipping - even though the status said it was not shipping yet.
They want to force me to receive the item and then follow the lengthy procedure to cancel after they ship it out.
Problem is that I won't be here in 8 days. I was supposed to receive the item before my trip per the original estimate. I could order from Amazon and receive it in 2 days so I thought I'd cancel the Meta order and order from Amazon. No such luck. They refuse to cancel and will ship it to my empty home a week after the order time estimate. Support is brutal...completely worthless.
I can't believe a reputable company would be so underhanded.
No way to contact anyone but the India support team who are without any authority to fix a simple problem.
They did warn me that if I don't receive item and it gets lost on return, it's on me. Unbelievable.
Does anyone know how to escalate an issue?

Yes, just so nobody wrongly believes that you had anything more to offer than I got from "customer support" saying "too bad, so sad", it is the same remote team replying to my private message with nothing to offer.
I can't even imagine what warranty or product support would be like from Meta. I should have done my research.
