Cannot Install Runtime

Machine is fully compatible, built for VR, I have full Admin Rights.
It fails after downloading, saying an error occurred and I need to Restart.

Things I have tried:

- Uninstall all traces of Oculus Software
- Uninstall MSV C++ 2015 Redists
- Checked Permissions Ordering Registry
- Have all the latest Drivers

have you tried disabling the firewall? I remember people having problems with that before. If not then I'd recommend creating a ticket through Oculus support and see if they can figure it out 🙂

I'm literally dumb founded that a setup installer has so many issues for so many people. This isn't supposed to be 'Beta' anymore, the ship has sailed...

Had our IT dept check it out, they had to log out of the domain to be able to install it... now if I could only successfully install a game after downloading it 😐

I've borrowed a Rift for a few days to see how I like it, but Oculus installer fails similarly

A timeout was reached (30000 milliseconds) while waiting for the Oculus VR Library Service service to connect.

I'm assuming a permissions issue, but tried :

Run As Administrator
Logging in as Administrator
Windows Firewall on and off
No Virus scanner
regedit Oculus LLC - no reorder dialog, enabled All User access
Change ownership/permissions on C:\Program Files from Trusted Installer to Administrators
It's a home PC so not on any work domain.

Any more tipssuggestions before I decide to get a Vive instead out of frustration.
