Cannot get left controller to work on Quest 2

I have 12 setup in my classroom

11 work . 

12th right controller works 

left controller -  change batteries -  take battery out for 1 minutes-  but still does not work

Sounds like your controller isn't turning on, is that right? Does the LED light on the left controller light up?

Yes it does now light up

That's good, then please try un-pairing and then re-pairing your left controller. You can find a guide for this here.

 

Let us know if that fixes the issue!

will try tomorrow - but did up post a link?  I did not see it for un-pairing?

Here are the instructions from the link in-case it's easier for you:

 

  1. Make sure that your headset is turned on, then open the Meta Horizon mobile app on your phone.
  2. Tap your avatar picture at the bottom.
  3. Tap the menu icon in the top right.
  4. Tap Devices.
  5. Select the headset that you want to unpair controllers from.
  6. Tap Headset settings, then tap Controllers.
  7. Tap the controller that you want to unpair, then tap Unpair controller.

 

  1. Make sure that your headset is turned on, then open the Meta Horizon mobile app on your phone.
  2. Tap your avatar picture at the bottom.
  3. Tap the menu icon in the top right.
  4. Tap Devices.
  5. Select the headset that you want to pair controllers to.
  6. Tap Headset settings, then tap Controllers.
  7. Tap Pair new controller.
  8. Choose which controller you'd like to pair.
  9. Press and hold the Meta  and B buttons on your right controller or = and Y on your left controller until the controller LED has blinked and then lights up to finalise the pairing.

So we followed your instructions -  the lights came on and flashed 

said it was is paired - but headset STILL does not recognize the left controller ?  

what now?

Thank you for trying those troubleshooting options.

 

Could you please follow the steps below: 

 

  1. Take out the controllers battery
  2. Go into the oculus app and press pair new controller.
  3. Put the battery back in while holding the buttons down.

 

These steps have worked for past users with a similar issue to yours, I hope they prove to be beneficial for you as well.

So still no luck

I even opened a new box we have 

and that one also the left hand controller will not synch 

 

Plus when I use my phone it recognizes EVERY quest 2 in the room -  12 of them .  So is the first one at the top the closest one it sees?

Please make sure that the plastic tabs have been removed from the new left controller.

 

Also check your phone's app store and make sure that the Meta Horizon app is up to date.
