Cannot install Myst PCVR and play on Quest Link

I purchased Myst on Oculus store and now when I go to add it to my Library there is no download button.  In the Store the link says 29.99 but I cannot click it.

I have a Quest 2 and it is installing on the Quest 2 and not the PC.  I would rather play the superior PC version that has better graphics.

When I bought it I had the Rift S and it installed to the PC just fine.  Why is it not installing now?

At this point I might as well try RealMyst, which has superior graphics to the Quest2 port.

If I get my Rift S out and connect it and then the game downloads and plays on Quest Link I think that is a bunch of malarky for someone who purchased the game already.

Sorry I was frustrated, it seems the game was installed on PC (in the Program Files\Oculus\Software directory) but the Meta Link App was not showing it in my library.

Thank you for responding.  As I mentioned the store page was devoid of any button anywhere.  And the game was not showing in my library.  I do not know if it was my fault for installing it on the PC and the Quest2.

What I did do is add the game to Steam by going into the Oculus directory and then the Software directory.  Then I marked it as VR required.  Then it re-appeared in my Oculus Desktop app.  Super weird.  It won't work in VR in the Quest2 when I run it through Steam VR however.  It launches on the PC and just says loading on the headset.

Now I have another problem.  Due to a neck Injury I need to play laying down and that mode is not available on Quest link :'(

Hi @miles.carter.33 🙂

If I get my Rift S out and connect it and then the game downloads ....

You don't have to get out your rift and connect it.....just open the pc app and install it from your pc library.

Yes, unfortunately this is only a standalone feature.

So your only options are to either play the less good Quest version of the game or wait until you can play standing up again.

Btw. get well soon🙂

Its been over 2.5 years since my accident.  I doubt it will happen.  Maybe at some point a Quest 3 with battery pack* will be a net 0 strain on my neck.  For now it looks like ALVR has support for recentering the view to play laying down.  I will try that.

(*Quest 3 not an option currently.  I got 3x Quest 2 and a Rift S for less than one Quest 3)

Sorry to hear that....I misunderstood you, thought your injury recently happened.

The Quest 3 might be a good alternative.... if not yet, maybe later😁
Of course, it's not like pcvr, but for standalone it's really good.

Whatever you decide....I wish you the best.🙂

Hey there, @miles.carter.33! Hope all is well! Having a Quest Link laying down mode would be pretty nice! I recommend making a post with this suggestion on our Ideas Board, as our engineers love to look through that board for new ideas and feature suggestions. I hope the standalone version keeps you entertained for the time being!
