I purchased a quest 2 for my son for Christmas. I have never used an oculus before so I possibly did something wrong in the set up but now I’m confused as to what happened. My sons account is the admin account but it is also the supervised account (I’m wondering if this detail might be part of our problem, but who knows).
We are wanting to add a couple of his friends so that they can play together. It’s a private account because he’s a child but in the privacy settings (attaching a screenshot) it says that he should still be able to get follow requests and that people will be able to look him up and send the requests as well. However, when you search his profile it has a lock icon and no one is able to request to follow him. Not even myself. He also doesn’t even have the option of finding his friends available to him.
He’s a child so I LOVE being able to supervise the account and approve or decline followers but we’re not able to even use the feature! It’s frustrating to me that
he can’t be followed by friends or join them in calls. Is there a fix for this??

Hi @Jtizzle1312
social features for child accounts are very much limited.
Actually, 10-12 years old are not able to add friends, use chat or calls and so on.
They also can't be added as a friend - even not by parents or siblings.
Many parents are complaining about the last point, so this might be changed in the future
You can read about that HERE

Having the same issue, this is so ridiculous. The only way around this is to make my son a new profile with an older age which is not right. Why can't these kids add friends and parents approve or deny friends.

The fact that we can’t approve friends for our kid is really dumb.
