Cant change FOV Oculus debug tool /tray tool

Kovarovsky
Honored Guest

I play PCVR cable lin (Oculus3) and use the Oculus debug tool/Tray tool. Everything in this tool works except the FOV setting. I tried reinstalling everything, all possible settings change, and nothing, also in steamVR. Does anyone have a similar experience or solution?

Hi there, @Kovarovsky. We know how important FoV can be when using PCVR. As well as the importance of having access to those settings. We wanted to share some info on the Oculus Debug Tool with you. Just follow this link here and it will go into detail on how to access the FoV setting. Please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns and we would be happy to help.

Aaaa thank you. Restart oculus service not changing FOV (idk why), but i found from tutorial one thing.. "Launch App" and and it works for FOV.

If you use the Oculus Tray Tool you can set FOV with it on it's global panel (doesn't work with game profiles).  You can just set it and them press the Save button next to it.  If you then open ODT you'll see those are then there.  Also, you need to hit that save button every time you start a VR session.  Personally, I've never found setting those FOV's very useful but I guess if you have a very weak PC it might buy you a little extra performance by going to something like 70:70.
