Cant launch most games

Just got a Quest3 a couple weeks ago.  Activated Quest+ a few days ago and downloaded a couple games. Also downloaded Batman Arkham.

Yesterday, none of the games will open.  I see them on the menu, click, and occasionally it will ask if the boundary is OK, and then.... nothing.   If I go to 'details', the 'start game' button is greyed out.  This is true for almost every game, except the Alien Encounters one that you first try with the Quest.

Looked at other fixes, and I hard reset it (30 secs on the power button), I reset it with the boot menu (volume and power keys) and uninstalled/reinstalled the Batman game.  None of this worked.

 

Do I have a dud headset, or am I missing something?

Thanks for reaching out for support, we are eager to get this sorted out for you, so you can get back to enjoying your VR experience.

From the sounds of it, this could be an issue with the account being invalidated when you originally logged in, especially if it is letting you play some apps, but not others.

 

We recommend trying the following troubleshooting steps to see if it resolves the problem.

 

1. Log out of account on both headset and app, hopefully logging back in will prompt a resync of the library.

2. Follow the 'Log back in on another device' path.

  • Remove the headset
  • On a mobile or desktop device, go to meta.com/device
  • Log into the Meta account the headset is currently registered to
  • When prompted, enter the code displayed on the "Log back in on another device" screen. This code will be different for each user.

3. Check that headset is running on the latest update.

4. Attempt to launch any of the games directly from the store screen rather than the library if it will allow you to.

Well, it fixed itself. I previously did log out of the app and headset.

 

i tried to launch a game (store and library didn’t work), so I launched Alien Encounters  which did work. As the game started, another game then started up at the same time.

very weird.  But it all seems to be sorted now.
