Normally I play on PC with PC people and I have no problems capturing with OBS my Quest2 microphone and the voices of my friends on Discord, but when in crossplay games I play with quest people, we use the Meta calls from Quest, and When capturing or broadcasting with OBS, neither my voice nor those of my friends are captured.
I know it is possible, because I have achieved it twice, but I am not able to reproduce what I did those times
How should I do it to capture the audio of a call started in Quest standalone from OBS?
Here is the proof that it is possible to capture the audio of Meta calls from PC with OBS.
The two squadmates are playing from Meta in a native standalone version and talking to me, who is on PCVR Oculus Rift (With Meta Quest2), with Meta calls. And I captured the audio of the call with OBS.
I just need to know how I did it that day to be able to replicate it.
Hey there! Thank you for letting us know the experience you're having. Just to be on the same page this is about the People app? If so I would recommend submitting a bug report if this is not working as it should.
This bothers me too. I'd like to stream cross play with my friends, but OBS blocks everyone's mic when using the Meta call. If it's for privacy reasons, it would be nice if you can accept or deny to record your voice when recording or streaming, just like Sony Playstation does.
no progress on this? I'm playing PCVR games over link cable and OBS has no problem picking up both the Occulus mic and audio outputs and I can hear both myself and the game in recordings, but as soon as I start or join a call with my contacts in the native oculus environment then switching back to link/pcvr has the oculus microphone capture showing dead silent and I don't hear myself or my buddies on the call when I record, just the gameplay sounds only. Is there no way to capture or output this call audio to the pc for capture inside OBS?
No, unfortunately we are still the same and without news of a possible solution or alternative.
