I have been trying to cast to my phone and it will not let me. Every time I try it attempts the cast and then closes it back to the main screen. I tried on my sister's iPad and it worked. But I cannot do it from my own phone. I restarted the phone, quest, router, uninstalled the app and forgot the device from my Bluetooth devices. Nothing is working. I was able to cast during Thanksgiving, but now a month later I cannot. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Exact same issue here.
S23 Ultra
Pixel 7 Pro
Works fine when casting to iPad, iPhone or Desktop Browser. Headset has been wiped (factory), access points and router rebooted, same issues persists.
To rule out my network at home I even hot spot connected it direct to my phone, and it still did the same thing.
Sometimes I hear a brief second of audio from whatever is streaming from the headset, but then it will crash back to the main screen on the Meta App. Maybe it's Android Version 14 causing the issue--all our devices here run this newer variant.
I will have to try and find an older device for testing.

Well I did a bit more testing this morning. The culprit -- Android Version 14. If you have an older Android Phone or Tablet (I tested on my daughters Amazon Fire Tablet 10 -- which is based on Android 11), try that.
I hope meta support is reading this -- as I've now tested this on:
S23 Ultra (Android 14) (Broken)
Pixel 7 Pro (Android 14) (Broken)
Pixel 7 (Android 14) (Broken)
iPad Mini (iOS 17) (Working)
Amazon Fire Tablet 10.1 (Android 11 Based) (Working)
Desktop Browser Casting (Working)
Come on Meta support -- you can do it!!

I was having this identical issue today as well. It just so happens that Android 15 dropped yesterday. I installed the new OS and the problem seems to have been resolved. I was able to seamlessly cast to my Pixel 7 via the Meta Horizons app. I think it was an issue with Android 14 and the Bluetooth... whatever the problem was, it seems to have been fixed with 15. Thanks for pointing me in the OS direction!
