Change your profile Info

How the bleep can I change my user info in my profile... I cannot edit anything and I would like to change my account email address

How can I do that... seriously!

Changing account email address or username is not possible.

If you'd like to use a new email, then you'll need to create a new account.

Ok then what If I bought a Gear VR and use my registered account and decide that I want to use another email address.... Are you telling me that I will lose every purchase I made because I am not allowed to change email address...

Yes, I understand what you are saying but sadly the system doesn't allow user/email changes.

However, if it's really a big issue (for example, if you lost access to your old email address) then contact Oculus Support and see if they can make an exception. Just understand it's not an easy thing and may take some time.

Still, I dont think it is the right thing to do... I am an IT guy and many users I support have their home email account provided by their internet providers

Changing Internet (network) provider mean changing their email address... you might end up with some issues in the future not allowing email address change.

Just saying...

I ended up creating a new account for the GEar VR because I dont want to go through the support process. But I am really surprised at the lack of power we have over our account (darn even my name is not my real name on this account because I wasnt sure of where Oculus was going when I created my account back in 2013 and I am stuck with that). I cannot edit a single line.

This is one of the reasons I use my hotmail account for stuff like this, rather than my ISP provided one. (And also to try and direct spam to my "junk" hotmail account as much as possible).

Why though? Seriously, what the hell is wrong with Oculus. It's like you guys are literally trying to be a crap as possible on the support site. It's amazing. I thought Oculus was founded by tech nerds. Yet the reality of the situation is Oculus is run by people completely out of touch with reality. This is a BASIC feature in literally every digital distro. Name one digital distro that doesn't allow email address and user name changes. Seriously, name one.

Uplay offers it. How on earth can you let Ubisoft one-up you? Christ all mighty that's sad.
