My usbc charging port has melted and most of the time it's caused by a third party charger however it melted while using my link cable for pcvr. Previously I was using a third party cable and had no issue with overheating but for whatever reason using the 80 dollar cable ended my quest 2. I opened a ticket almost a week ago but have yet to receive a response on the issue much less if I can get a replacement headset or cord.

Did they ever fix your charging port? Mine did the same and they want $160 for another one. If this is a common problem they should replace them for free even after warranty. Such a ripoff I may take to Twitter about this crap
