It’s been three months since I was hacked via my Facebook account, and I’m about to get it back… with a link just provided by FB. Very early in the hack, I discovered they had installed a Horizon account where they messed successfully with my efforts to regain control. They were removed promptly by Meta Help on this forum here. My FB account was locked down for a time and I was put in the endless loop of trying to get it back.
in my confusion, the hackers got back in again.
Finally, I got my email address back a fortnight ago, and seem to have total control. I have just had what appears to be a genuine sign in code from FB. But I’m very nervous that there will be another Meta Horizon account attached, and they will snatch it back again.
I’ve just bought a Quest headset this week and opened this account, so would like a trouble free regaining of my FB account with no nasties hiding in the corners so I can attach my new Meta account to it.
Thanks for posting into our forum. We know how daunting it can be when an account is hacked and fully understand you want to take every precaution to ensure it doesn't happen again. Once you have managed to unlock your Facebook account again, you can visit our page on creating Meta Accounts which will tell you what you need to do to attach your Facebook account.

Hi, thanks for that. It’s not this account I’m worried about it’s a possible Meta Horizon account hackers might have attached to my (separate) Facebook account. They did this three months ago when they stole my account., and it was removed by Meta at my request.
Before I follow the code FB has just provided to get me back in, I need to know there is no one back-dooring my efforts and sending me back to square one.
Then I can attach this new Meta account with no problems.
Can someone please, please send me an email I can reply to so I can give you my Facebook account details and you can check for a pretend Meta Horizon account attached to that?
