My son’s Child account is unable to establish a wired link connection to PC presumably because his account is not permitted to sign into the desktop app on our PC.
The message presented suggests this is due to app restrictions - however, the parent account is at no time requested to approve the app for use.
How do I allow my Son to log into the desktop app?

Good day,
Thank you for your latest feedback regarding the pairing code. This solved my original issue regarding casting my child account from the Quest 2 to my phone. Thanks for great support!

I’m having this same issue. From what I can tell they can’t connect to the computer until they are 13 🤦:female_sign:

Hey there, @smithmom.2023! We understand there was some trouble accessing the Meta Quest Link. First, we would want to check that the requirements to use the Meta Quest link have been met. If these are met, we would next want to check the quest link has been properly set up following the steps here. If you should still encounter any issues, please provide a screenshot of the error encountered, as this can help in our investigation.
We look forward to hearing back, and have a great day!

Hi, what is the reason behind restricting use of Air Link to accounts age 13 or over? Allowing parents to decide seems the most logical choice. This restriction forces parents to either create accounts with false birthday information or allow their child to use their parents account. Seems like a silly restriction to have in effect.

Thank you @HelmetSquad for this important question!
Meta Reality Labs is currently exploring more ways customers can use devices with additional safety, privacy, and age-appropriate protections. For safety reasons, some features available to our mature customers may not be available for our younger users. Air link/Quest is unavailable to any user under the age of 13 to protect them from potential harms of any additional apps accessed by a PC.
The safety and privacy of our users (no matter their age) is imperative to us, and for an outstanding VR experience.
We hope this has shed some light on the restriction, your feedback and ideas are always welcome on our Ideas Forum.
