I don't know if I was uneducated and just messed up, or if I did things this way because it was the only option, but...
I created a Facebook account for my child YEARS ago. I entered my birth year, but his birthdate. I only created the facebook profile so he could have access to Meta. I did not realize that you could create a Meta account itself. Big mistake! My son is only 11, so his facebook account has been suspended due to being underage. I have no way of accessing his account center or regaining access to the account because he is legit underage. I don't care about facebook, but his Meta account is linked and the only way we can log in to access it is via facebook. (Silently screaming!) I need his Meta account to be a child account managed by me. It is my understanding, if we cannot regain access to his current Meta account, he will lose all downloads, purchases, and progress. He is on his 3rd Quest. He has tons of data that I don't want to lose, and I definitely don't want to have to re-buy years worth of games and such. Can anybody help? Anybody??? Please!!!

Unfortunately, no. Meta says I have to start over by creating a new email address and account for my son and resetting the Quest. He has 5 YEARS of games and purchases on it. When Meta took over Oculus, I created a Facebook account for him using my date of birth thinking it was the only way he could have a Meta account. Because his meta account was created using Facebook, and now the Facebook account has been suspended due to him being under 13, his Meta account will be deleted when Facebook deletes his Facebook account in 25 days. I don’t care about the Facebook account. I just want the meta account unattached so he at least has the possibility of regaining access to it eventually when he turns 13. My husband also uses the current account, so I was even hoping we could transfer it to him or just convert it to a child account managed by me for now. The lack of solutions and options available is extremely disappointing and heartbreaking.

I could not figure out how to contact anyone at Facebook! Do you know how I might do that?

That would be great! Thank you
