Ordered a meta 2, 256gb on 18/11/23, due to be delivered 29/11/23, went into the account today to check if there was any tracking for tomorrow, to find it was all cancelled on 21/11/23 with no communication.
Been on chat for nearly an hour & they say it was a banking issue, but no communication from the bank or meta, just a cancelled order & now out of stock everywhere. Had I known on 21/11/23 I could have reordered. Only ordered directly through meta for the £50 credit which I now won’t get. What a mistake. One sad little boy on Christmas morning. Customer services chat said there is nothing they can do.

I wonder if you could order it on the US amazon site? It still has early December as a ship date. (But I guess you lost out on the extra $50 offer at this point.)
FYI, the same thing happened with my credit card, only they (my bank) did notify me. The bank refused the transaction. I think they must get a significant amount of fraud from meta purchases. Not sure why it would be any different from anywhere else, but the second credit card I used also sent me an e-mail asking if it was me that made the purchase. But in that case they didn't cancel the transaction.
The lesson here I think is don't buy hardware direct from Meta. It may not be their fault, but it is a needless complication to the process. Then when you throw in all the complaints I've read here about sending stuff back, I think it is just easier to buy the stuff from an established store.
