Hello community,
We are an VR company and we have like 10 Oculus Rift S for dev and 18 for our clients.

We are currently suffering from servals bug with our Rift S.

The first problem is on our dev Rift S, 8 Rift S are suffering from the Oculus App need to be restart constantly and the only solution is to unplug and replug the headset.
It's becoming very annoying, I've tried all the thing that the support said to me but it's not working either and the support is not responding anymore so if one of you in community know an stable solution for this annoying bug ! There's the Zip Log bellow and the PC configurations.

We have an other more dangerous bug with the client laptop which is this PC :

Asus ROG STRIX-G-G531GV-AL172T PC Gaming Laptop 15" (Intel Core i7-9750H, RAM 16Go DDR4, 1To SSD, Nvidia RTX 2060 6Go, Windows 10)

The only fixed for our bug which is the no display port detected using the official adapter, is to plug the headset only when windows started up and fully booted and we already tried to disable power saving or deep sleep in windows. I'll attached this Zip log error after when I can have the hand on one of our clients PC . And the problem occurred even with brand new laptop and Rift

Sincerely Dylane

I am having the exact same issue. Everytime I go to use my Oculus I have to re-seat the USB in order for it to detect it.

Hi everyone,

As people have mentioned here, this is a USB issue.
I have around 70 Oculus Rift S out there, on the same Windows update (1909), same laptop models, same Oculus App version, same Nvidia drivers, connected to the same networks, etc...

And yet for some reason only a third of them have this issue.

I haven't found the cause yet, but I've found a fix.

If your computer has a USB-C port, get a USB->USB-C adapter and use that with the Rift S. Reboot your computer, and now everything's green. No reinstall needed.

I've shipped the same adapter to ~20 clients, and it fixed the issue immediately for all of them.

I still don't understand why it only happens on some of our machines though.

I hope that helps!
Cheers,

Thanks LegendBacon, but this fix did not work for me. Is currently still working for you?
Any solution from Oculus?

Can you tell us which specific adapter you are using? I've tried three so far and none of have solved my problems. I also have an ASUS ROG Mobo. At the rate I'm going I'll spend more money on workarounds than on my Rift.
