Controller forward movement won't work properly, caused by Blade and Sorcery

I am having an issue where the forward movement on my left controller is disrupted. This seems to always be caused by playing Blade and Sorcery. Doesn't happen every time, but only happens when playing that game. However, it follows me outside of the game - to other games or to the calibration screen, where I can see on the calibration circle the dot freaking out when pushing the stick forward (it jumps around back and forth erratically). Key other points:

- Not a hardware issue. If I switch to another controller, it will still be happening. Ditto for unpairing and repairing the same one, changing the battery, recalibrating, etc.

- Oddly, if I don't push the stick all the way forward, it will move me forward normally. Like three-quarters of a push will function as all the way, but then all the way will dead stop or maybe jerk around a bit.

- It will eventually go away. I'm totally unsure what fixes it. After playing another game for a while, it will just stop happening. Could take minutes, hours, or days. Not a factor of restarting the headset, etc.

Any insight here? It's extremely annoying and disruptive and makes me not want to play Blade and Sorcery, which I love, but playing it comes with the risk of badly hindering my enjoyment in other games for an indeterminable amount of time.

Hey there, @ekculbertson. We can definitely understand your concern regarding the joystick drift that you're experiencing, and we'd love to help out! Try out the following troubleshooting steps and let us know how it turns out:

  • Remove the batteries for at least 30 seconds before attempting to use them again.

  • On Standalone Headsets: Increase the dead zones of the controller until the drift is no longer an issue/noticeable.
  • Go to Settings
  • Go to Hands and Controllers Settings
  • Select Controllers in the left menu
  • Next to Thumbstick range and dead zone, select the joystick which is having issue
  • Follow on-screen instructions to recalibrate the joysticks deadzones
  • When powering on your controllers, ensure that the Analog sticks aren't being held in any direction and are at rest in the neutral position.

We'll be looking forward to hearing back from you!

Neither of these worked. I left the battery out an entire day, even. The dead zone thing also did not work, though I don't see why it would because it's not really drift that's happening, at least in the traditional sense. It is strictly that when the stick is pushed all the way forward that it is as if it resets to thinking it is being pushed only slightly forward.

If it's worth noting, this issue usually sorts itself out within 24 hours but this is the longest it has been persisting, going on a third day now.
