Controllers paired but not working.

Astolpho

I haven't used my meta 3 for a couple months and when I put it on tonight it had an update.

1. My hand controllers are not working. My mobile app says they are paired but after boot up meta asks me to wake them by hitting any button. Thats not working. They are also not giving any haptic feedback after booting. I was wondering if thats an indication the batteries are dead, I'll try new batteries in the morning.

2. Using hand tracking I got into settings and accidentally turned off hand tracking. Now that handtracking is off I have no means of interacting with menus at all until tomorrow if new batteries make a difference, Is there a way to turn hand tracking back on thru the mobile app?

3. I found the factory reset in the mobile app but I want to try the batteries first. In the event I have to do a factory reset what needs to be done to get started again?

Thanks,

Paul

Hey there @Astolpho! We definitely want for you to be able to enjoy your time in VR, and that can be hard when your controllers aren't working! If your device has been sitting unused for months, the most likely cause of what you are seeing is dead batteries, getting those replaced or charged up is your best bet to getting those working again.

If you have disabled hand tracking in the headset menu, you will need to get those controllers working first to be able to re-enable that, there is no way to do that from the mobile app.

If you do end up factory resetting your headset, that will be just like setting the device up again from scratch, so all you need to do is put it on and follow the prompts it gives.

We hope this addresses all of your concerns today, please let us know if there is anything else we can help out with!
