Controllers randomly going onto a set path

I'm not too sure how to describe this, but sometimes I'll be playing a game, and my controllers will randomly move downwards and will seem to sort of rotate around an invisible sphere whenever I try to move them, I'm not too sure how to describe it. Essentially, I cannot move them away from this "invisible sphere" and whenever I try to it just goes to the closest position on said sphere. This happens unprompted and I normally have to take my oculus off and leave it for around 10-15 minutes for the controllers to reset to their normal position.

I'll add a video once it happens again.

Hey there @doggo.357235! Thank you so much for reaching out to us! We know the virtual world isn't as fun when you're having tracking issues, so let's get to the bottom of this! We'd like to ask you a few questions to best determine how to assist.

  • Has your play area changed recently?
  • Have you tried in different play spaces?
  • When was the last time the tracking was working properly?
  • Are you using any third-party accessories or covers with your device?
  • Are you experiencing this issue with both controllers?
  • Does this only happen when playing a game or all the time?
  • What troubleshooting have you already attempted?

We appreciate you taking the time to get this information over to us, we're looking forward to your response!

Hello! To answer your questions: 1: No, it’s just my room. 2: Not at the moment, though i believe the issue is with the controllers, not the environment. 3: It goes on and off. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. 4: Nope. 5: Yes, both of them glitch at the same time and reset at the same time. 6: Yes, it does happen both in and out of game. 7: Replacing batteries and cleaning the sensors on the headset.

Hey @doggo.357235, thanks for answering our questions so promptly. We have a few things to try and keep in mind, that will hopefully address your issue.

Could you make sure that your play area is well lit and free of small lights, such as LED strips and also mirrors, as this can affect controller tracking.

May you also try and unpair the controller from the headset, then reconnect. You can find help on how to do that here
