D-Link Air Bridge fails to connect, keeps asking for password

Sozuraioi

So i've been using the d-link air bridge for a while and until recently i haven't had any issues with it, however recently ive found myself unable to connect to the wifi connection from the air bridge. After i imput the password it will fail to connect at all and after i try to connect again it asks for the password again. I can connect to any other wifi easily and have tried all the usual things to fix it but nothing has worked.

things ive done to try and fix this

reboot both devices

factory reset the air bridge in the link app

deleted and reinstalled the drivers for the air bridge

deleted and reinstalled the meta link app itself

linked the headset to the pc using a cable

connected to the air bridge wifi with my phone, which i had no issue with

plugged the air bridge directly into my pc

i do not have any kind of vpn or antivirus other then standard windows defender which had caused no problems in the past

Only one person had the same issue i did and the solution they found did not work for me, everything else was for a problem i did not have

Hi @Sozuraioi. We understand the urgency you have to get this fixed, and we are here in full force to assist. The last thing we would like for you to check and inform us of is whether you had any issues with installing the Desktop App; if so, the Air Bridge may have the same problems. Can you check to confirm that your PC is compatible? See Requirements to Use Meta Quest Link. Once we hear back from you, we will proceed accordingly. Thank you for your time and understanding. Talk soon!

i had no issue with installing the link app and my pc is compatible with the specifications

Thanks for the swift reply, @Sozuraioi! To be absolutely sure we've properly narrowed this down and exhausted all avenues, we'd like you to answer a few last questions for us. There is a chance this issue stems from the hardware itself, and we definitely want to get you on over to the right people if that is the case. When you have the time, please go through the following and get back to us:

  • Are you using the same Wi-Fi network on your PC as you were before the issues began?
  • Have there been any changes to your Wi-Fi network? If not, did anything change at all before you noticed this issue?
  • Are you able to disconnect and reconnect to your Wi-Fi network on your PC if you haven't already?
  • Can you check and make sure your headset is completely up-to-date
  • Were you prompted to make a new network password for your Air Bridge and go through the set-up process after the factory reset?
