DK1 Crash on demo scene [Fixed: downgrade to 4.3.3 runtime]

Setolyx
Honored Guest
Fixed, sort of. Just had to downgrade to 4.3.3, i even spoke with an official OculusVr support employee and he was unable to help me solve the issue, and didn't even have an explanation for why downgrading would fix it, so i'd strongly advise anyone having this issue to just go ahead and give downgrading a try. After days of error codes, i could care less why 4.4 doesn't work, i'm just happy my oculus isn't a piece of trash.

I've freshly reformatted my system, so i'm really hoping that i'm just plain missing a driver or software package that i'll easily be able to download and fix.. either way, i installed the rift firmware and downloaded the SDK, updated my graphics drivers and made sure to the best of my ability that it would work, however i'm still running into an insta-crash before i can even run the oculus test utility. I've tried running two games so far and neither have worked... minecraft with the minecrift mod (which throws an error code and crashes before even letting me see the main menu) and Slender on steam, which lets me enter the VR mode, shows a weird distorted cut in half screen with a loading symbol (on my main monitor display) then goes black and only shows the version number in the bottom right corner. with a black screen on the oculus

Mind you, the whole time, the oculus is displaying my desktop in split view. I've tried tinkering with the display settings for it but so far i've run into the crash over and over. sooo, i'm posting my error code here and HOPING that one of you kind folks can help me out! I've had my DK1 for quite a while now, so i'm hoping i haven't somehow broken it!! :? Thank you in advance to anyone who at least gives me the time to look at my error code. 😮

If it's a fresh install, make sure you have the DirectX and VC++ Redistributables.

Thank you for your response Cyber, I went ahead and double-checked all my installations driver-wise, as well as double-installed the redists that you provided links to. Still got the same exact crash, but it /does/ look like the thread handle and thread sys ID it's throwing is different. I'm not sure if i should repost the entire thing, but if needed of course i won't hesitate to post it. I'm just very confused, because it worked absolutely fine the last time i reformatted... i'm not sure what i'm missing here.
