Last Thursday I upgraded my SDK to 0.4 and tried on the DK2 on my computer. I have been working on a demo in Unity and was going to beta test it the Friday after. Biggest mistake I've done so far.
I followed the instructions and got everything working, demo scenes and my demo. The game ran great the first minutes but shortly after that I got the Blue screen of Death. After rebooting my computer crashed again and again after 20 minutes wether on desktop/internet/playing music or whatever. When there were 6 hours until the beta test started even Blue screen of Death crashed so I decided to uninstall everything Oculus related from my computer and download the old 0.3.1 back again.
For now, the computer doesn't crash but it seems like it did have some effect on my graphic card or how it performs. I cant open games which I used to play (see screenshot below) and the resolution in my demo is more pixelated than it was before. Another really strange thing that bugs me. When I have my DK1 connected and run my Unity demo in 1280x800 I get a strange pixelated effect but if I disconnect the rift, run my demo and then plug the rift back in I works 100% and the graphics are way better. It seems like the 0.4 SDK overwrites my graphic card and I have no idea why.
Has anyone else experienced the same kind of problem?
Graphics card driver up to date? What kind of card?
