Hey everyone! I see a few of you still having issues with this game. However I recommend getting in contact with the developer support using this link here. They will be able to provide assistance needed anything regarding the game itself!
It is possible to get the game to load, but as a result of this workaround the game can no longer save any data, and starts from the beginning every time. Uninstall Dance Central and then reinstall it, and, crucially, deny permissions to access storage. The game will load and be playable, but won't save.
Ideally someone at Meta or Harmonix would fix this so that we can actually play the game without getting thrown into the tutorial every time? It's a great game, and more importantly, we all paid for it. What's the point in spending my money on the Quest store if both Meta and the developers can just up and abandon the games, leaving them unplayable? Seriously?
That link would be great if it worked. Harmonix were bought out by Epic. Nobody is responding to any emails being sent to that link. Perhaps as someone who works with Meta, I'm assuming, you could get Meta to work with Epic to fix this? It's been ongoing for far too long, and if none of us can get refunds for a now broken game, you could at least fix it.
I love how occulus mouth piece staff put the problem straight back on the consumer. "contact the developer" is their job not ours. You want to keep a niche product in good standing then do something about it instead of passing the buck. Loved this company at first, but the crazy greed is insane. I bought the corded one first. Bought a bunch of games, spent lots of money. Then the quest 2 came out, and I had to buy most of the game back or they failed to work or download. I call this lazy greed. Think I am going to STEAM for VR games even though they dont fully support this brand. I know one thing for sure, STEAM does not make me buy games twice, and they admit when they messed up. This company played really dumb games with people considering Dance Central. I mean if your company knew it would not work just dome out and say it. When you lie, WE consumers know it, we know you own your product!!!! We know it does not boot on your gear too, so fess up, give the refunds with no delay to everyone who bought this, and save face.
I agree, it is really unbelievable the complete disregard for user value Meta has demonstrated since acquiring Oculus.
I just tried to boot up From Other Suns, this was an Oculus Studio VR GAME OF THE YEAR in 2016. Did anybody notice the VR category in the game awards in 2023. Not a single nominated game is available on Meta. They just don't seem to care.

It's been a couple years since the saving functions broke, suspiciously just before Epic bought Harmonix. I could still sort of play if I didn't mind starting from scratch each time with the tutorial. Now it won't even load up for me at all. Its already been removed from the storefront. So I guess that's it. It was hands down my favourite game on vr and helped me get in shape. The developers are working on something new but Id be surprised if they will rerelease this. Sad times. Hopefully the just dance vr game coming in oct from EA will somewhat help fill the void. Just hope that that doesn't have its usual god awful menus and totals between each song which ruin the flow of exercising...🤔
Hey guys, I'm under the impression that EPIC have actually closed off all servers for Dance Central... 😪 This is why you can't get past the loading screen, there's nothing on the other side!
