My Dance Central will not load all the way. The introduction opens, but the actual Dance Central will not open. Help me please.

Ive been playing dc for 2 yrs without save function, so unless the storage permissions turned back on automatically, I dont know why it would suddenly stop loading?
I actually like the mixed reality on synth riders, but that's because I dont really like the infinite space environments of other dance games. I like to feel like im on solid ground otherwise I start to feel sea-sick. I cannot play the space station game at all🤢! I thought having a dance game set in a club was genius. I dont know why none of the other dance games do that 🤷🏻:female_sign: my only improvement would have been to be able to play songs on the balcony too (outside Oblio's dance studio).
Im excited for just dance, but I just wish they'd give users the ability to make a custom playlist, so you didn't spend more time scrolling through menus and watching the stupid, slow score screens or token/coin wins than actually dancing... I liked that dc had visual scoring that didn't interrupt the flow of playing. Yes I know some people are competitive but also there are lots of gamers who want the experience and don't care about the scores.

Hey guys, I know you're frustrated about Epic turning off their Dance Central game servers, I am too.
With this is mind, I'd like to recommend that you reach out to Epic Games and give them some feedback. Maybe even request a refund from them? Although, I couldn't comment on whether they'd be willing to provide that or not. 🍒

It isn't online and doesn't need servers, it plays fine except you have to tuen off permissions and it won't save.
I am not interested in a refund and wouldn't accept one if offered. I'd rather play this game broken than 90% of the re-tread zombie shooting nonsense that gets released these days.
So I'll play my broken Dance Central game hoping somebody else is interested in making a game as fun as this. Epic has no reason to respond to us, at all, and they don't. 🤷

I agree 100%. I don't want a refund and will keep playing it broken as long as it will run. I had share/storage permissions already turned off, so I don't know why it suddenly stopped loading altogether. But I sent into the main oculus settings and deleted all data from dc app, then when I opened game it asked me the peissions Q again, so I coipd say no agsin, and now it loads again! So happy it runs again even if it's still in the broken state. Phew! Better than nothing!
Yeah I hope someone will make a dance game as satisfying as this, but I wont hold my breath! Every other dance/exercise game is either ridiculous subscription pricing or thinks you want to spend ages on gimmicky score/win screens. I like that in dc the stars are in the background and the colour swirls show if you're doing well but don't ruin the experience if you're crap (or want to free style).

Epic/Harmonix won't reply to dc customers, so there's no point contacting them. I doubt after 2 yrs and it no longer being on sale, that they'll fix the save bug. They haven't refunded players who have never played a functional version of the game.
I played functional version for a while and now have a vaguely functional version so I don't want a refund (Id love for them to fix it though).

I can see how it would be frustrating with Epic not replying to any DC customers, @bbubb01! There certainly have been a number of games over the years that have left me heartbroken when the developers shutdown the servers for them.
Here's hoping in future there are more VR titles announced to fit your dancing needs! 🕺

Since this years old issue is suddenly getting some traction lets have a conversation.
First lets identify that the game itself works fine, I don't know what you folks keep going on about with "servers" we don't need them. We can play the game, it just won't save data because of permissions. It seems like something that could be corrected with a phone call and a hotfix.
Isn't the problem here the same problem with VR as a whole, bought up by a corporation that doesn't give a **bleep** so they can figure out new ways to put advertising in front of our eyeballs? Epic bought Harmonix and doesn't give a **bleep** about this game, Meta bought Oculus and doesn't give a **bleep** about gamers. No difference.
Your basic input "aw that's a shame, just go find something else to play" is getting a bit stale. If this was the only game to be de-listed or even if the list was short I could agree. Even Oculus studio games are in a state of decay, game releases are at a trickle, and HMDs are more expensive than ever. So we had this fun game and now its gone. Maybe "Just Dance" coming in October will be good, but aren't we only getting that game because the Pico failed?
The state of VR is the same as the state of Dance Central, VR has been neglected for the Meta agenda of creating something completely different. Taking away what we want for things we never asked for. I don't need to spend $650 to see the inside of my house. Give me some VR games. Epic will not answer us meaningless consumers, why should they, Meta doesn't even answer us...
I've been a VR customer for a long time, I am begrudgingly a Meta customer because I bought into Oculus and Meta is FAR from what Oculus was. You think its better because its flashy and has a lot of money to throw around, but from down here Meta looks like a downgrade just like all the games that had to be downgraded to work on the trash technology that Meta limits us with.
What good is all that money and power if one big corporation can make a simple phone call to another corporation to give us our **bleep** game back?

Yep. If Meta cared at all, they'd be chasing up Epic and not just passing the buck from themselves, as the company who did the deal for the game in the first place, onto random customers, who have no power or ability to get Epic to bring the game back. It feels like they're just ticking a box to say 'See, we did something! We responded!', instead of actually fixing the problem.
