On Oculus CV1, we have encountered dead pixels? with purple/pink spot as photo attached shows. Most obvious action, re-install and setup the hardware did not help. Any idea about this? could it be dust or damages to the lens or .. ? (it is mainly on the left lens with very similar pattern on right lens yet very small ( attached photo shows the left lens). Will running dead pixel test help (e.g. UD Pixel)? if so how? (to get CV1 as extended screen?) Thanks in advance for any input/comment. NB: be aware the greenish and blue line in the attached photo are not of importance.
Saw something like this on Reddit. It may be due to sun damage apparently but don't hold your breath for support. They forgot to hire a proper support team.
Mine developed the same problem (since I used it last night), just in a different location and different shape. Today it was raining all day, so unlikely the problem is sun damage.
Did you get yours serviced by Oculus? I just submitted a support ticket.
Same issue here, using it at nights and putting everything in the box after use, so there is no way it could be due to sun damage.
Any help on this? What was your ticket resolution in the end?
