Is there any way to delete or unsync videos or pictures on the meta quest app? I have tried deleting thr spp and reinstalling it but they are still there.

Omg how this may be an issue in 2024? It’s just a delete button for user’s private videos. And you don’t even write anywhere that user has NO WAY to delete those videos. And I have to go to support page to read stupid support answers saying that “there is no such a button”….

do you photos eventually get deleted? or are they still there? if so, how long has it been since photos were synced?

J'ai signalé le problème, on m'a d'abord dit d'attendre 14 jours après la désynchronisation, puis 30 jours...
Après de nombreux échanges avec le support qui n'est pas foutu de répondre autre chose que de patienter, et voyant qu'il me balade puisque le problème est signalé depuis très longtemps, j'ai déposé une plainte auprès de la CNIL, qui l'a jugée recevable.
Je vous invite à en faire autant.

I have exactly the same problem. I cannot delete unwanted photos from my mobile app. That's ridiculous that for so long time Meta didn't provide the delete button. I can only download selected pictures. There's no elegant solution for more than a year what I can read on this forum 😭

@LeoBulero I have found a good solution for myself: Deleted my account and sold the device. And now much more careful with all meta products.
btw: customer care completely doesn’t care about this issue and didn’t even try to help.

Eventually, I deleted them from the mobile app using Quest headset and unsynchronized the files. But the mobile app should have unsync or delete option as well.

There is a way to unsync them from the Android mobile app at least. You click the image or video in your gallery and then there is a button icon on the top to unsync it (a cloud picture). Admittedly they should have made it possible to do this from the list as well, select several and unsync. I have no idea if stuff is actually deleted from their own cloud storage though and there is no way to tell as the online cloud back up page only lists backup from games and not media.

This is entirely an anti-customer answer. No way this is a feature, it's a bug, and fixing it is NOT a feature request. Name on product that functions in this manner, ONE! There are none because it's not a feature.
The developer who gives such an answer is either lazy or a misanthrope, and the support agent who accepts such an answer should find another job.
