Dell G15 5530 doesn't meet the updated minimum specifications

Hi team,

I want to check whether the new laptop I bought for developing a VR environment in Unity 3D meets the requirements for Meta Quest Link.

The spec of this model (DELL G15 5530):

Display: 15.6" FHD (1920x1080) 165Hz, 3ms, sRGB-100%, ComfortViewPlus, NVIDIA G-SYNC+DDS Display
Driver: Intel AX201 Driver
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050, 6GB GDDR6
Memory: 16GB DDR5, 2x8GB, 4800MT/s; up to 32GB (5600MT/s with AMD CPU)
Operating System: Windows 11 Home, English, French, Spanish
Processor: 13th Generation Intel Core i5-13450HX (20 MB cache, 10 cores, up to 4.60 GHz)
Storage: 1TB, M.2, PCIe NVMe, SSD
Ports:
1 headset (headphone and microphone combo) port
1 RJ45 Ethernet port
3 USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports
1 HDMI 2.1 port
1 USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port with DisplayPort™
I believe this meets the requirements, but I received a message that my computer doesn't meet the updated minimum specifications.

Additionally, I have a USB-C port, but I cannot connect my Oculus Quest 2 to my computer during the USB test.

Can you help me with this problem? Thank you so much.

Hello there, @Chenny0224! We understand you were looking to get started with Quest link but encountered an error. First, we would recommend checking the requirements for Quest Link are met. If there is a different cable this can help if it may be an issue with the cable. If you could provide the details below this can also help in our investigation.

  • What steps have already been attempted?
  • Does the headset work when not connected to a PC?
  • Is an adapter or cable extender being used?
  • Try with only the mouse and keyboard connected?

We appreciate your time, and hope to hear back soon!
