Does ASW make you sick or does it mimic 90FPS?

How does ASW work and will it cause more sickness not having a constant 90 FPS? I have it switched on for DCS World and it's still really smooth when the FPS drop, but I'm just wondering if there are any disadvantages to it, like an increase in sickness when FPS are dropping to 45FPS?

With ASW on, it is running at effectively 90fps, so comfort should be the same. Overall quality may be less if you compare native rendered frames to interpolated frames, but it still 90fps either way.
